I posted a thread this morning asking if anyone could give me some advice re an expats mortgage as we are in Australia, house rented out in England and a lot of companies won't touch us (even though we have said we are going back).

Firstly-where has my thread gone. I can not see it anymore. ABC Diamond thank you for your reply so it did go on the forum! We will contact HSBC Offshore and see what they say.

Secondly, anyone else know anyone that can help? Please........

and before I left to come to Oz, they told me it shouldn't be a problem to re-mortgage my buy-to-let. I haven't tested it yet because I'm tied in to my mortgage until July next year, but I'm hoping it won't be a problem. Send them an email and see if they can help. They don't charge fees, they get their money from the lender.

And no, I have no connection with them, other than using them for 2 different mortgages. They also saved me a fortune on life assurance.
