Default Barclays Bank Question

I've had a Barclays a/c for more than 40 years but suddenly I cannot change my statement frequency (always has been quarterly) and it has dropped to monthly. When I change this online I get the message.
Sorry, but we cannot dispatch paper statements to the address we hold for you.
Please visit a branch or call our customer services team on 0345 600 2323. If you're calling from outside the UK, call +44 2476 842063.


I'm not asking for paper statements just to change the frequency to download load them.

I've contacted them before via their messaging icon but now that doesn't work as when I press new message nothing happens. Anyone else having problems with Barclays Online.

Can you not just download 3 monthly ones every quarter?
