Bankwest "fishing' scam
Just a heads up to any Bankwest customers, there is currently a scam "fishing " email on the go which carries the message...
The link takes you to a german site, but is just a scam to get bank info if you have a Bankwest A/C.
Apparently it started yesterday and the Bank is aware of the problem.

Re: Bankwest "fishing' scam
There was one going around about the Commonwealth the other week.
I checked my CC statement yesterday and noticed pruchases made over the weekend had been put onto the account twice. Phoned them and was told that ANZ machines had had a problem and they would be sorting it out in the next 24 - 48 hours. Hubby says mother's day was a dear do!

Re: Bankwest "fishing' scam
Please, everyone remember that your bank will NEVER email you asking you to confirm your bank details (the same can be said of ebay etc). If you get one of these email please just delete (however authentic it looks). You will find that the links in the emails don't go to the website that they lead you to believe they do go to (some of them are very clever copies, others are more obviously fake).
If in any doubt, contact your financial institution before doing anything
I am sick of seeing people fall for these scammers :scared:
