Default Banks, insurance and health care.

Moving to Perth for a year. Can anyone recommend a bank to get my wages paid into?

Also, with regards to "travel" insurance. I know there's a reciprocal scheme for UK travellers via medicare. Will I need "work" insurance too as I'm a nurse, or will I be covered under the hospitals employee cover?

With regards to medicare, is it just case of finding my local office and registering? I'm diabetic so need to source my insulin and test strips and I *think* I can sign up for PBS?

I bank with Commonwealth who are so far quite good. Their address is ;

You can also try West Pac, as I have heard some good stuff from expats.
