Default (b)Bricky's in Melbourne(b)

Could anyone let me know if they have moved out to Oz in particular in the Melbourne area and found work as a bricklayer. All things being well my family and I are hoping to be accepted in the near future and I could do with knowing what the job "climate" (conditions, pay structure etc) are like. Also what are the Aussie brickies like to work with ? and was it easy to find work etc??

Any info will greatly be appreciated, thanx.
Adrian

hi, my hubby is a brickie and worked in the sydney area before, they wore wide brimmed hats and finished at 3. not bad! he said the guys were ok,think the pace may be a bit slower because of the heat. we are heading jus south of sydney and apparently theres loads of work! not sure about melbourne but there sure is a lot of land to be built on!! good luck.
