Hi folks - we were meant to be having our shipping done for free by a friend - but at the last hurdle it looks like we are going to have to pay for it. Therefore we have started to gather quotes. What I would like to know is what we can expect from an average price from Manchester to the sunshine coast??

we have recently found out that because its not a main town it may cost a little more - just checking it out really.

So if you wouldnt mind advising???? would appreciate it folks. Cheers.

Not sure about the Sunshine Coast price, but can say that we have a quote, door to door (inside the city suburbs) from Bolton, via Manchester, to Adelaide........ £3500 (that includes insurance) for a 20ft container. (4 bed house / 2 adults / not a lot of clutter or large items)

we went from Hull to the sunshine coast aprox 2 years ago so i would add a little bit on our price. we had a 3bed semi and opted for a shared container. the prices all came out at about £3000. I played them off against each other and got the price down to £2700 and i think i could have probably gone a bit harder with them.

On the quote it said the amount of estimated stuff and then when it was actually in transit you could track it and the true amount was on the tracking sheet and it was quite a bit less then what they quoted.

Hope this helps, we ended up using crown and had no problems and would recommend them (but it is upto personel choice)

We are still in the process of organising this just now as our furniture will be going in about 4 weeks. All our quotes were for a 20 foot sole use container door to door service, and they varied between £3180 and £4100.
