The Leeds Expo was neither Good or Bad........In my opinion it was crap!
The only good thing was that I didn't have to pay an entrance fee.

So not a waste of money... just a waste of time.

How come you didnt pay the entrance fee?

Thought we had registered on the website (2 adults 2 kids) 24 hrs before going to the Expo.
Established when we got their that their registration records didn't include registrations made over the previous 24 hrs therefore they let us in for free.

Hi :-)

Some positive feedback for you! My husband and I travelled from the north of Scotland to the London expo last November. We did not have particularly high expectations initially as we knew the majority of employers were focused on nursing/engineering (hubby is in IT).

That said we did the rounds and my other half has been offered a job with a large company in Sydney! So while the expo itself was not riveting - it may just be worth making the journey :-)

Our experience was something very different. The people on hand had very little knowledge ( one of them told us to try the (FREE VETASSES SKILLS ASSESMENT!!!), they are most certainly not free, we told him this to which he replied “well I have been telling every one else they are free”. I was talking to another person and told them that I was emigrating to Auz in 5 weeks and was after some help for my parents, they where not interested in helping them just wanted to help me with my tax file number, Medicare stuff, give me a FREE sim card and then charge me £99 for there help.
There was not one registered migration agent there. It was a very small setup with only a hand full of real potential jobs opportunities for a very small minority of people.
It seemed to me to be a good way for some people to travel the world and make some money at the expense of would be migrants.
That was just our experience, if yours was better or worse please put something down for future people.

Hi
We were also at the expo in Leeds and thought it was a big waste of time, it was expensive and there was very little there that would help with moving to Oz. Most of the infomation there you could find yourself for free using internet etc.
