I dont think of myself as English, because that would be disgusting, I just carry an English passport. I need to get out of here because quite simply, I hate it.

Are the other 327 of the same opinion?

Against my better judgement, go on then - why? Why is it so terrible to be English, what does it mean to be English, in your opinion?

Gosh, well you'd better not go to any of the countries that the English colonised, like Oz. After all we wouldn't want you to be accused of being hypocritical...

I suggest that you move to Russia. Rumour has it we're not too popular over there at the moment. By the way, you might find проигравший useful - it's Russian for 'loser'.

No it isnt. The word's meaning is different. It's better to say неудачник :)

Certainly Western Australia isnt all that, in 20 years or more in the hospitality industry i have never met ruder, more ignorant, socially inept people than i do here.Nationalities that cover the globe seem to leave their manners at the door.Australians and English being the very worse.
In all my travels around oz have i never been called "an effin pom" more often(even by Poms themselves, apparently living here for 10 years or more makes you immune???????????????,unquote).

what is it with the Perth air that brings out the ocker in 40% of my customers?

Believe me,theres nothing worse(IMHO) than an English retiree abroad with money in his pocket,a pension going into the bank, sun on their back and a chip on each shoulder to balance them.

Echoing the same sentiments from a security point of view. Locals are the worst, followed by people from the UK, then the backpackers. People from over East generally aren't too bad I've found!

West Aus really is the Wild West - even my friends who have spent their entire lives here are taken aback by the skyrocketing crime rate and decline in respect that is sweeping this place. Personally I can't avoid the organised crime aspects - which are rampant and which the police are quite useless at dealing with. Drunks I can handle - dealt with enough of them in the UK. Careful of games of cricket - sportsmanship is out and mass brawls with fatalties are in - http://www.news.com.au/perthnow/stor...32-948,00.html - that's the way things are done now. Not one on one fights, but 'just you wait here and I'll get ten of my mates and we'll beat the crap out of you'.

For those who want to come to Perth to escape England the problems associated with it - you'll simply find a Little Britain here with better weather and less water. Same shit, different accent. If you're cool with that you'll have a nice time. But do get used to frequent media reports of the disorder incidents in and around as well as the road toll. Current focus seem to be the bashings and 'one-punch fatalities' rather than the break-ins. And traffic accidents are usually only reported when there's fatalaities or it blocks traffic flow.

Thanks, saved me typing that too! Hear hear!

Same shit, different bucket. Hearing an Ozzy accent in the CBD of Perth most days of the week is 30/70 challenge,at times even English seems to be the 2nd language.
