Well, let's face it, I have much more recent and extended experience of the UK than you, so it could be argued that I was merely trying to inform returning expats (some of whom have been out of the UK for a considerable length of time) about the UK in the UK section of a UK site for UK people. Or, it could be said it was a deliberate and very transparent attempt to shit-stir, that served no purpose other than to poor scorn on another country. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/ma...27/ncoke25.xml Well apparently, one in five secondary pupils takes illegal drugs and the use of cocaine among schoolchildren has doubled in a year, which I'm sure you'll agree is a 'bit of a worry'. It might explain the rising crime levels though. So, Sherlock - how do you think my post would go down? And next time you go on troll hunt, have a look in the mirror first... So now lets have some about australia, simple eh sherlock  |

Its paradise here and these things don't happen in paradise. Oh and did I say some git cut one of my irrigation pipes open with a hacksaw? I wonder where Australia ranks on this particular crime... Here's another stat, 9% of sex crimes in Oz were commited by woman and there hasn't been a single conviction of a woman for sex crimes. Source on the telly the other night. |

I'm constantly amazed at the amount of scummy people there are in this beautiful, wealthy country. There's loads of drug abuse here, the Aussies love their drugs.

Re: Aussies in ecstasy
Right off topic here, just read the thread and there is some discussion with Hutch, Graylin, Vash, Jad etc, all having their own point of view on this........
I think these forums would be very boring without this lot even if you dont always agree with what they say. No doubt they won't need any encouragment to view their opinions on others :D |

It might also be of interest that drugs and many crimes of violence are related and that at their lowest common denominator occur where there is large scale poverty relative to the national wealth levels of domestic population per capita. So the more OZ becomes a place of financial and social oppression (like the US) of the poorer classes the more these problems will persist. Education, opportunity, support, community spirit and a fair minimum standard of living are the tools that would help overcome these problems. |

Re: Aussies in ecstasy
Umm when I suggested the other day drugs might be a factor in the rising crime rates, the mere suggestion prompted outrage :D well guess what an aussie in the know is now saying.
