What a load of crap, I'd suggest anyone who believes that go and read the moving back to the UK forum, loads to learn on there, very few arguments, some very funny threads, great insights on how it looks after a few years, and posts from several countries, very few people blame anything :confused: dont know why you made that up, most just end up with a clearer idea of whats important to them, and sometimes its not what they expected.

There's a bit of both, I think. Lots of the people who post on the return to UK forum, in a very composed manner, often also initially post, 'appearing to blame Australia', on the Australia forum! Some not all. But there are some quite nice threads on it too.

Yes but it's not true is it! It can't be it's saying that out of all the developed nations of the world Australia has the highest chance of being the victim of a sex crime, has the highest rate of victimisation, highest proportion of victims of assaults & threats. Oh and the second highest proportion of burglaries, and high rates of robberies, car thefts and thefts from cars.

But it all can't possibly be true. Its paradise here and these things don't happen in paradise.

Oh and did I say some git cut one of my irrigation pipes open with a hacksaw? I wonder where Australia ranks on this particular crime...

Here's another stat, 9% of sex crimes in Oz were commited by woman and there hasn't been a single conviction of a woman for sex crimes. Source on the telly the other night.

I'm constantly amazed at the amount of scummy people there are in this beautiful, wealthy country. There's loads of drug abuse here, the Aussies love their drugs.

Right off topic here, just read the thread and there is some discussion with Hutch, Graylin, Vash, Jad etc, all having their own point of view on this........

I think these forums would be very boring without this lot even if you dont always agree with what they say.


No doubt they won't need any encouragment to view their opinions on others :D

Now c'mon Vash you know damn well that the biggest cities in the US (LA and NY) have around 7 & 8 million inhabitants respectively. So to say most US cities have more than 20 mill is simply outrageous poppycock.

It might also be of interest that drugs and many crimes of violence are related and that at their lowest common denominator occur where there is large scale poverty relative to the national wealth levels of domestic population per capita. So the more OZ becomes a place of financial and social oppression (like the US) of the poorer classes the more these problems will persist. Education, opportunity, support, community spirit and a fair minimum standard of living are the tools that would help overcome these problems.

Yes my garden sheds been broken into and my garden knome has gone woop woop again, third one weve bought in as many weeks. This place has gone to the pack, all aussie kids should be tarnised with the same brush blah blah blah :D
