And at what point to you stop? Do you lock up an innocent family just because the one black sheep has committed murder? rape? sexual abuse?
Get real, the crime is committed by the offender, NOT by their innocent family - they are the ones left to pick up the pieces of their own shattered lives.

Your getting me confused with other posters. I do not recall ANYWHERE in my posts advocating deporting the families? Some of these are not aware of their siblings activities until late. Many indeed report on unlawful activities within their own religious community. (Christmas bomber 2009 - reported by his diplomat father).
But I disagree with not meeting force with force because no-one has come up with an alternative solution so far (I'm all ears) - otherwise 'submission to the will of Allah' will be achieved. What strategy do you advocate to bring the radicals under control. Remember their aims are non negotiable. An Islamic world. We are talking fundamentalists here, not law abiding, tolerent, muslims and their families.
As for the French solution, have they not just baned all religious headgear in their own country? Specifically the Burkha?
As for genocide, I'm not advocating that either. The present disjointed military approach is definately flawed. I will not disagree there. But I have yet to hear anyone come up with a peaceful or other workable solution on the forum yet. Lots of peace and love and people attacking my views. But not one solution from said individuals. I'm not so arrogant that I cannot be swayed. What would you suggest.

The solution is the same as with any other terrorism, you fight it and don't let it change your life. Should we have crusaded against Catholicism because of the IRA?
You must remember that these fundamentalists twist the Koran to suit their views. Islam is no threat but this minority of Muslims are.
True Islam is almost certainly a more tolerant and benign faith than Christianity. Millions have died at the hands of the Leaders of Christian faiths over the last two millennia.
