ATO online tax return: Feedback
Just for anyone who is wondering if it’s any good, I completed my own tax using the ATO’s e-tax system last Thursday. I received my tax back yesterday… don’t think you can get much quicker than that. The forms only took me about 20mins to fill out. If you have an easy to manage portfolio I would definitely recommend this method!!!

I totally agree, its so easy to do if your an everyday regular employee. I've spoken to loads of colleagues who are in the same situation as me yet they seem to think doing your own tax return is impossible, and they'd rather pay about $80 and have someone key in the information for them. 
Like you say it takes less than 30mins to do, you just key in information that you'd have to pass to the accountant anyway..
I did ours on Sunday so should have the dosh in the account early next week.

Agreed- Very good system. Completed it a week or so ago and got a load of cash paid into my account yesterday. Impressed.
