Dear All,

I would like to know if someone can recommend good government primary school in Melbourne.

I have a school ranking list published in The Age sometime ago:

But the list is for year 12. I would like to know the ranking of primary school if there is any. Or , if not, recommendation about good government primary school.

It seems that the top of the list is occupied by many of private school.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks, that website is very helpful. I tried to find information about state school, but it seems that it doesn't have that. It has very useful information about independent school though.

We dont rank our schools the way the UK does (either Primary or secondary) so I dont think you will find any real information about this.

Also, with a few notable exceptions of high schools (and I don't know of any primary) access is based on the place you live, so if the "best" primary school in Melb is the other side to where you live and work, you wont get in.

Sorry if this sounds negative it is not what I mean, the school system is just different. The rankings to which you refer are simply a list of HSC results.
