WendyC - I've never seen Dylon in my local supermarket (although I have seen something purporting to be Vanish but which doesn't make much of a difference when I used it). My local supermarket, when it does stock things, cruelly taunts me by introducing a new line (ie So Good gravy) and then withdrawing it without warning a few months later :rolleyes:

Whites look dingy very quickly I find, even add Napisan doesn't restore them :(

I used to use Ariel in the UK and I miss it. I now use Omo but do find that the nice smell that Ariel left in the clothes doesn't happen with Omo. If your container hasn't left the UK yet then I'd bring a stock of Ariel with you to see you through a few weeks until you find the right washing powder for you.
