I'm sure they make special packets just to put on offer, that make you really want to buy it again ;)

I'm using duo matic at the moment, and I'm not finding it very good at getting stains out. Then again, when I used Sard soap on the stains they aren't going either (unlike Vanish used to do).

Whites look dingy very quickly I find, even add Napisan doesn't restore them :(

Try BioZet. A bit expensive, but I found it gave excellent results. :)

I have tried them all and prefer Dynamomatic Concentrate for front loaders. I also get Dylon stain remover shipped in from UK. That stuff gets any stain out. Grass, redwine, tomato puree and curry have all come out of my clothes with Dylon.

My local supermarket sells both Dylon AND Vanish

Thank you Vash and northernbird for your suggestions. I don't mind paying a bit extra now, as the cheaper brands seem quite ineffective. And I'll get the in-laws to bring some Dylon with them when they arrive for their extended stay :scared: in November.

WendyC - I've never seen Dylon in my local supermarket (although I have seen something purporting to be Vanish but which doesn't make much of a difference when I used it). My local supermarket, when it does stock things, cruelly taunts me by introducing a new line (ie So Good gravy) and then withdrawing it without warning a few months later
