I am wondering how much it costs to apply for spouse visa

I have looked at prices on australia.org.uk but I am not sure whether or not I am looking at the right figure.

i have looked at 'migration - first instalment' Is this the right price???

You are better off checking www.immi.gov.au
They don't seem to update the AHC site.

Also post on the immigration forum, as there will be someone there going through the process at currently.

My hubby is applying on a spouse visa and we were charged US$770 which is approx 530 pounds??? That does not include charges for meds and police checks plus you may have to lodge a bond which runs to a couple of thou....although they haven't asked me for that yet!

Hi,

I have done medicals and police checks. Got nearly everything together to send the application away. I will front end load it. Do you know how long it will take for AHC to make a decision???

I didn't front end load hubbys application so we have been waiting 6 months but some other posters who front end loaded and/or took their app's to London with an interview got theirs within hours/days/weeks. It seems to be the way to go - if only I'd known!!!!!
