Anyone in Sydney fancy a meet up before I lose the plot?
Been in Australia for just over a month now, and if I dont start making new mates I think I could end up like Tom Hanks in cast away shortly.
Meet up section is closed for some reason
Hit me upppp

Swervo posted the other day so he's still around but I don't know if there are any formal meet ups. He's a thoroughly nice bloke so I'm sure he'd have a beer with you sometime. (I'd invite you for a G&T but we moved on a few weeks back.)
What are you into? Throw yourself into some hobbies, sports, volunteering, etc., and I'm sure you'll meet loads of people and click with at least a few. Don't restrict yourself to Brits. Lots of migrants in Sydney, all in a similar position. Make the first move - invite your colleagues or neighbours for coffee/beer/lunch/dinner. People have busy lives and existing networks and may not realise you are in need of some pals, but are generally welcoming.

Still here - just been avoiding the inevitable Left vs Right shitshow threads, which doesn't leave much else TBH.
We have a small group of folks that meet in the city for drinks every Thursday evening, and will be doing that this very evening - You'd be more than welcome to join us.
We normally met up at a pub in the CBD for drinks and dinner - pub normally chosen during the day on Thursday.
If you PM me your telephone number, I'll let you know where we're heading tonight!
