Anyone in Sydney
Anyone in Sydney fancy a meet up before I lose the plot?
Been in Australia for just over a month now, and if I dont start making new mates I think I could end up like Tom Hanks in cast away shortly. Meet up section is closed for some reason  Hit me upppp |
Re: Anyone in Sydney

Re: Anyone in Sydney
Swervo posted the other day so he's still around but I don't know if there are any formal meet ups. He's a thoroughly nice bloke so I'm sure he'd have a beer with you sometime. (I'd invite you for a G&T but we moved on a few weeks back.)
What are you into? Throw yourself into some hobbies, sports, volunteering, etc., and I'm sure you'll meet loads of people and click with at least a few. Don't restrict yourself to Brits. Lots of migrants in Sydney, all in a similar position. Make the first move - invite your colleagues or neighbours for coffee/beer/lunch/dinner. People have busy lives and existing networks and may not realise you are in need of some pals, but are generally welcoming. |

Still here - just been avoiding the inevitable Left vs Right shitshow threads, which doesn't leave much else TBH. We have a small group of folks that meet in the city for drinks every Thursday evening, and will be doing that this very evening - You'd be more than welcome to join us. We normally met up at a pub in the CBD for drinks and dinner - pub normally chosen during the day on Thursday. If you PM me your telephone number, I'll let you know where we're heading tonight! S |
