Re: Anyone moved to OZ and work in IT?

I am an experienced java developer based in manchester. I got PR last year and visited sydney in May last year. The job market looked very promising for java skills.
Ideally I would like to have job offer before landing in oz. Has any one done that or know how to go about. I circulated my cv to various job sites (seek, my career, jobserve etc.) but not much of response. Are there any agents here in uk who deal specifically for oz job market.

Cheers

Things have moved on for us here and i'm looking to visit next month now i've got my visa.

Can anyone comment on how the IT job market is doing at the moment in Melbourne? I work in 3rd line, Server / network type role.

Regards,

Mat

I don't think you will have any problem choosing the job you want if you can demonstrate experience and reliability.

The IT market here is having difficulty filling positions.

Very interesting post, do you think its worth doing an ITIL? I have over 12 years in management and wonder if the experience is more important or the ITIL certification? Thanks in advance
