my husband works in IT his job is in demand however he may not of lined any work up before we get out there (hopefully he will but nevertheless) what you are saying is that a letter from his current employer over here in uk along with bank statements etc should be ok??

But if he's quitting that job, he'll need a letter from his (current) employer here.
As you're saying he's not got an Australian employer yet, he would have little or no success in applying for a mortgage at this stage.
What part of Oz are you heading too? and what are his IT skills? I used to be in IT for a long, long time before I got into this crazy business I'm now in.

oh right ok that answers that he is an analyst programmer c# and .Net. We are heading to Perth, but we are hoping to set some interviews up the end of this year once we know the status of the visa app (all will end well I hope).
