O Did plenty of shopping to at australia fair too its a nice big shopping mall. We was lucky the weather stayed dry otherwise might have been a different story. The hotel we stayed at was right on the beach right by one of the surf life stations it was so funny watching the chines girls having their photos taken with the lifeguards and gettin their autographs bless.
well worth the vist guys

Glad you liked it, we went to them all again at xmas, it was our first time at the Australian outback though, as we did not get to it the last time we went to the Gold coast, so we went on Boxing Night. Its great isnt it, would difinitely recommend to any one coming to visit, Steaks were Lovely too.
Preferred Wet n Wild to white water world, although it was handy to Dreamworld.
What was the fair like, we went to Harbour town Outlet,it was good.
Hows Teryna, Jenny flew to Melbourne last week, she likes it, prefers the Beaches here she said.
Talk soon

Hi, I'm thinking about moving out, have job offers but would be with single with young children, one is pre school age. Anyone have any advice on how easy it is to get childcare, especialy for unsociable hours, also help with costs? What's it like there with kids? How feasible is this?

Hi Everyone

Well it is finally happening for us, shippers came on Monday and we both finish work today . We fly out on 21st March, arrived Brisbane 23rd March and we stay in the Gold Coast for 4 days, then its on to Bundy, we arrive there on 27th March!!!!!!! We are staying in a holiday rental in Bargara for 2 weeks, so the heat will be on to find a permanent rental as our stuff will be arriving middle to end of April.
Can wait to finally meet everyone, it feels like sooooo long ago we were all here in the UK waiting to go, I never thought it was ever going to happen for us

Well we have FINALLY made it lol, im sitting here in our holiday rental in Bargara, It still hasnt really sunk in!
Mark and Matthew have just had a swin in the pool lol! Think it was a bad idea booking this rental it is too nice lol!!!
My bloomin head is pickled already with everything we need to do like finding Mark a job and getting a car and ive been looking at houses to rent on the interent all last night, just unsure of where to look, we do really like Bargara but there isnt really much rental wise here at the minute, there are a couple we like so we are viewing them on Monday, there are loads of nice rentals in Coral Cove, Branynan and Thabeban, any advice or help from all you locals would be a help lol.

Hi Gill,
Welcome to Bundy! How as it been so far?? lucky you with a pool!!! wish you luck with the house hunting...there's plenty of rentals arounds so you shouldn't have any problems finding one, I'd have thought there would be more in Bargara though! Any luck so far? Coral Cove is nice though we have looked there ourselves no plans to move just yet. Shari

Hi Shari

Im not good today ..... We got turned down for the rental we wanted-m aparently because we have just arrived and have no job - even thought we have enough money to keep us going for 6 months!!!! So im feeling rather depressed!!!!!!!!
Mark is going to leave his CV into a few places tomorrow - so hope to get a job soon - but im more concerned on getting a house, our stuff arrives from UK in Brissy on 20th April - should be here about 10 -14 days later. To be honest there isnt much in Bargara at the minute!!!! not sure where else to ,look - the only other places with decent rentals at the minute are Braynan, Thabeban, Coral Cove those town houses in Ann Street. I have been told to stay away from Thabeban and Braynan, and to be honest wasnt keen on the ann street location, Like Coral Cove - but just a bit too far out for my liking!
Apart from all the above we are really happy - cant believe we are finally here - seems like so long ago we were all chatting from Uk..... Would love to catch up with you sometime - if that is ok?

Gill

114 rentals in bundaberg area between 250 and 350 on realestate.com
they rent houses on a points system here so you may need refs from the uk
we paid our rent 6 months in advance when we sorted it out from the uk
what work is mark looking for?
