On our way over to the Cleveland area from NZ [originally UK] within the next month or so. Any tips on the best areas would be appreciated. we are coming over with 2 young children 10 & 8. Currently looking around the Redlands area.

It is a long way from Brisbane...if you are working in the CBD I would also consider closer areas.

Does anyone have problems getting short term rentals for 4 weeks. I just got a price for 4 weeks of $4000 dollars total rip off.

We are using Ashmore palms holiday village. $490 per week for five of us, so good value. It's not far from pacific pines. We will do our reccy from there it's only 1 hour to CBD too so not too far out. The girl Lisa was very helpful. You pay 2 weeks up front. Further 2 weeks when we arrive and $150 bond for cleaning and breakages. You need to book 1 month min. After that you can pay by week. Towards end you can pay by day. Perfect if your awaiting on your cargo arriving. Hope this helps. Jo
