Anyone from GCC countries moved to Australia?
While Brits seem to have a fair number of reasons for making a move to Australia, I wonder what would those reasons be for someone from the GCC countries?
Has anyone moved to Australia from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Riyadh or Bahrain recently or considering a move? What is making you leave behind your decent living standards, bright weather and tax-free salary? It will be interesting to know your views, be you are an expat or local.

So, I guess not many people are moving from the Middle East to Australia nowadays. That rather makes me a braveheart then.

Several friends/colleagues of mine have quit extremely well paying jobs and have moved to Australia/Canada. In a couple of years we will be heading to Australia too.
