Anyone else in this situation
Hi,
Not sure if anyone else is in this situation - if so, any advice?
We came to Perth last June on working holiday 1 year visa to make sure we liked it before applying permanently. With one thing and another going on, visa application sent 4th February. Received acknowledgment and haven't heard anything since. Have to go back to UK on 3rd June as Working Holiday Visa expires for in limbo period til we can move back here. Wish we had a timescale but don't we all! Should we get our medicals done while we are here? Will it be easier? Called Adelaide on Monday and they told me not to get them done as I would be frontloading the application and therefore delaying it. To me, it would seem an easier idea to have them done while here. Any suggestions? Thanks

I have heard of bridging visas. I don't know if this might apply to your case though, I'm sure somebody else will tell you that for definite.

We were told that we can't apply for a bridging visa - the only reason we did things the way we did was cos we were assured we could get a bridging visa. We've accepted the fact that we have to go back to Scotland for a while, we're more concerned about the ease of getting our medicals while in the UK or whether we should take the bull by the horns and do them while we're here. I can't understand that sending these in early will delay your application - makes no sense!!!
