Hi all,
Very interesting reading this thread as we too are in the same boat. Got the Visa a couple of weeks back, but the house has been on the Market for over 2 months and only 4 viewings, no offers. Stressed doen`t come close to how i`m feeling at the moment, but the wife is doing a sterling job of calming me down.
Just wondered? I was flicking through a newspaper on saturday (Express or daily mail or something) whilst waiting for a haircut and came across an advert. It was for some kind of property company who will buy your house, subject to survey, albiet at a "below Market" price. I was just wondering if anyone else has seen such an advert (cant remember the name of the company) and looked into what they offer. Better still has anyone used such a company to sell up, and if so is it worth considering. It does seem worth a thought, considering that many people on this forum seem to be accepting significantly less than their asking price just so that they can make the big move. Perhaps going through a property company is a way of selling up quickly and reducing the stress/wait.
Cheers.

I also looked into this, I'm getting really desperate now but the company I contacted take 20% of the market value. I know we want to go badly but there is no way we could afford to lose 20% at this moment in time. When we get our bond back in Feb and reduce our mortgage back down then it may be an option if we haven't sold by then. Hope this helps.

It gets a bit sad when you start going around the house looking for stuff to sell (like I did yesterday).Resisting the urge to buy stuff is the real killer.
