dont know what meets you went to mate, but i would doubt if most of the people are over 45 at the gold coast meets, and most people have 2 kids.
at the last few meets i was the oldest and i am 45.
if you had been at the last meet/football match, you would have seen a huge group of young couples.
the whole point of the meets is to help new people find others who are alike.
if young couples who arrive here read your post then they might be stuck with noone for ever.
If someone is struggling with friends here, then i think they could do a lot worse than turning up to one of the meets.
A lot of great friendships have come from them, that cant be argued against!

I will keep my eye on the posts then and try and catch up at the next meet.... the reason you can not socialise with aussies is because it is so hard to break into their social circles..... it is not easy....

There are exceptions of course, but in general ive summed them up well in my experience.
The only one we socialise with is my wifes friend. She's a nice person, and has a good sence of humour, she also doesent like aussie guys and is married to an Irishman!
Aussie guys are a bit '60's hillbilly mentality' in my opinion.
I was told when i came here that you would generally stick to your own kind as they are so different and its true 15 months on.

They're weirdos thats why, they dont like to go out, they dont like to spend money and they are the most miserable people ive ever seen.
