Interestingly, although it is considered a separate city, Ipswich is probably closer to Brisbane CBD than many of the 'suburbs' touted on here as suburbs of Brisbane. It also has a more direct road and, when the motorway is upgraded, it will be quicker and easier to commute to Brisbane from Ipswich than from many of the outlying suburbs.
Takes me about 20 minutes to get from my house in central Brisbane to Ipswich racecourse.
