Hi Donna,
have been following your story for a while now.
It's hard to stay positive in the face of adversity, but what doesn't break you, will make you stronger and whats the worst that can happen?...only you can answer that...but even the worst isn't all that bad, is it????
Keep on, keeping on...not long to go now!!!!!!
Best wishes and good luck, Leigh.xxx

Child visas carry a health waiver, and children under 18 can be sponsored without the need to prove you are supporting them.
This restriction is in place to stop applicants excluding ill children from their applications, and then lodging child visa sponsorships once they arrive in Australia.
There are ways to convince DIMIA it's unreasonable to do the medical, most experienced agents have come across this before and will be able to advise.

I have been in a similar plight but not the same.
If you still have parental responsibility (likley) you do have the right to request a copy of your daughters medical records from her GP and/or local health authority.
Sure this will not be all encompassing for your application but maybe a copy of these along with a well worded explanation letter may suffice.
It is possible to do this.

Thanks Andrew,
I do have a copy of her health history from the doctor, the case officer we happen to have hasnt came across this situation before,so hopefully she is just doing things by the book, she has to pass all the info she has onto someone in a higher position to herself, who happens to be off on leave at the moment! Just our luck!

Poor you Donna....I think you are rivalling me for unhappy visa situations!
It seems, from the advice of others, that you still have options and it is definitely an idea to get your agent on the case, since this is what you pay them for.
Good luck - keep going. It's been a struggle so far, I know, but you've also come a long way, so keep going for this next bit.

My apologies for disheartening you at the beginning of this thread.
I spoke to soon, and I should really learn to shut up, when I'm not 100% sure about my answer.
Good luck, sounds like you will get there!
(Eventually!!!
