Anglo Pacific Removals - any feedback?
Anyone have any feedback on Anglo Pacific removals? They quoted £200 less than Allied Pickfords (we dont have that much to send) - though pickfords dropped £100 in one sentence when he saw my reaction to his price!!

Don't tempt me! If you search on my old threads there is plenty about them, but to summarise, ***** ********'s main problem was a complete inability to understand the concept of customer service.
They told my removal firm (who then told me) the wrong ship, the wrong sailing dates, the wrong arrival dates, and even the wrong company for the dealings at the Aussie end. They said they had "forgotten to load" 3 boxes, then fed me a load of rubbish about which ship they were on.......turned out after 4 months of stress that the whole consignment had been together all along.
They wouldn't deal with me, only with ALS of Hove, my removal firm, who were as much use as a cartload of drunk monkeys. When I finally tracked down which company would be dealing with the shipment at this end, I got them to try and get some sense out of ***** ********, but they drew a blank as well - it took 3 weeks to get a phone call returned, and then they were fed the garbage about 3 boxes lost, possibly forever cos AP didn't know what they'd done with them....nor did they know which 3 boxes.
Their only excuse for their appalling service (and the four and a half months delivery time) was that they were "too busy".
I wouldn't touch either ALS or ***** ******** with a bargepole! However, I'm sure someone out there has a better tale to tell......

We used Anglo Pacific, though reluctantly after Pollyannas experience. Our stuff is due in Brisbane next week so I cant tell you about the service this end yet but despite my misgivings the uk end was great. The packers were quick, efficient and a good laugh.
I'll keep you posted about what happens here:scared:
