Hi there, I am currently serving in the British Army and I'm applying to transfer to Australian Armyas an Ammo Tech. Is there any Ammo Techs on here with info about the job, postings, tours, etc...
Many thanks in advance.

Anyway, I think you will have better luck going direct to the Aussie MOD.

I was a lowly towrag working in the ammo "sheds" on Kineton it was a CAD then, its a BAD now. But all that was between 1962 and 1966....Airships firing bows and arrors stuff then! Obviously I knew a whole lot about the ATs and lost a few who were mates when Northern Ireland kicked off. One of the best was a guy called Chris Cracknell. A typicical really nice guy. Walks up to a car and ...thats was it. Also knew the guy who blew up the cinema in Kuching, Borneo rather than carry the bomb out. But as he said at the time.....it was the safest way..never did explain why his demo charge was bigger than the "bomb"! Anyway..there is a whole book load of stuff like that that would take years to tell.
The only thing I can advise is use the webs link I sent you or if they have a telephone line in, try Austalia House in London.
All the best
