The probability of a hack existing is inversely proportional to the amount you paid and the age. So an old, expensive, machine is the least likely.

BTW that $99 Blu-Ray player in JB Hifi appears to be multi-region setable for DVD and region changeable for Blu-Ray (eg match to the region if necessary) - and other than the usual lack of burn-in testing on chinese units, seems to be get a good a write up as its older cousin.

Australia is an online market ripe for picking. The first external companies to offer "free shipping" alongside sane pricing for a wide product range will make it big in this country. Amazon is perfectly placed to achieve this.

Yes, I have always believed this. Australians are waking up to the fact that they can get better, if not much better, value by shopping overseas. I only wish I was in a position to get into it somehow!

Seems to be a selective offer.

EDIT: I got them to ring me using my UK Voip number - excellent customer service, rang me immediately.

Even though it says Amazon.co.uk is the seller, there is a restriction on shipping to Aus. Shame, as a bunch of people on Whirlpool would have jumped on it.

Hence, a product stating SSD from Amazon UK does not automatically mean they will ship to us.

Generally its just books, cds and dvds that will be shipped to Aus - same as before the supersaver thing came in. If you've got relatives in the Uk get it sent there and they can post it/ship it on Still often cheaper than buying here!!

Kogan.com.au do two excellent Dab+, Fm, WiFi and iPod dock radios that have had excellent reviews and they are only about $149. We have two. Much better than the Pure models I think.
