Default AHC case officer give me some news

I applied for a 457ie business visa on Feb 28th, i have not even had a case number, or case officer assigned by AHC. My agent has said that none of the cases he submitted in Feb have either. Should i contact them & push as i have found a business that interests me or should i wait as advised by my agent.
My case if not dealt with by 30th june for pete's sake, will be sent to Perth for christs sake. He believes the case officers are not going to rush as the task is being taken away from them in June any way. FYI One case officer has been of sick returned 1 week to go on hols for 2 weeks. Now correct me if i am wrong this is a very busy time, compounded by the closure of the 457 ie visa.
I even feel nervy that the agent has either done his job or upset them. He has been told not to contact them as he will slow yes that's right slow the process down. This would normally take 3 weeks before February's closing date.
HELP i don't want to stay here any longer.

Hang on in there David.
I applied 4th February, got asked for additional info and police report on the 4th April. Sent police report 13th May.
Visa aproved 23rd May.
Its your turn soon.
