don't restrict yourself to uk based agents..it's not necessary these days

(i've been with a uk agency for nearly a year and i've never met any of them
company based in edinburgh -case officer in ireland)

so an ozzie etc based agent isn't any different

there are 3 or more agents that regulary post good help here

use the search on here or the immigration section for agents etc and choose out of them

I've not heard of any bad feed back on any here

cheers

Hi Richard

thanks for the advise.....

ironically I rec'd a call from an agent in OZ just 10 minutes after I posted my question..... the agent was one I emailed in its UK office nearly 2 weeks ago for info. They apologised and I was on the phone with her for 30 mins or so....

seems like the ball is starting to roll at last...

thanks again

Phil

How long did it take to get your visas and how much ???.
Did you apply for skilled migration ??.
I've looke on the IMMI website but I dont know the correct procedures, do I need skills assessed before applying or after applying.
This is all new to me as I have only made the decision a few days ago.
Anyone who can give me some pointers would be considered a "bloody nice loke".
Cheers

We haven't yet decided whether or not to use an agent, there are things about our application that aren't straightforward so we may yet go to one.

But when we decided to start the research we went to a firm called OzMigrate (Tas based but with UK Staff). We approached them as consultants and paid for a full assessment (about £35). There are companies who do this for nothing but I was more than happy with this arrangement.

I can make no recommendation about them as agents for the whole ride but the assessment was very professional and left us with all our initial questions answered and no commitment to use them for any other part of the process.

Cheers
