Hi everyone,
Would really appreaciate some advice on best route to convert some australian currency.
My son is visiting the Uk for 6 months, but unsure what is the best route to convert his australian $'s to £'s, is it best to change whilst in australia, if so where ?, or take his money to the UK and change there, (approx $2,500) Could anyone advise me on the the best return, as don't want to get a poor conversion.

Not sure how long $2,500 in GBP is going to last but it partly depends on whether he has a UK bank account. If he does, then you could look at someone like HiFx or OzForex and, indeed, your own bank to compare rates.

Or alternatively just withdraw it as he needs in the UK.

Thanks, not worried about money to live on, as he is staying with family, so food and board money not needed, this is just spending money, and he says he will get a part-time job if need be.
