Default Advice for which visa to look into applying for.

Hi,
Myself & Husband both UK citizens along with our 2 children are looking into possibilities of moving from U.K. to Oz....
My Husband is a builder/Plasterer and owns his own company & I’m a hairdresser & Makeup artist.
Where do I start regarding looking into visas, property etc

thankyou

Morning to you and welcome to the Oz forum.
I gather you have written off the USA? Probably wise is that.

Someone will be along soon to advise on any visa routes.

Is it that you simply wish to leave the UK for a new life somewhere else?

I am not in Oz but in New Zealand. It may help get you started if you can state what trade quals your husband holds and how many years in his trade.

Thankyou for your reply.

Yes we’re looking to move on for a fresh start.Somewhere nice/safe for the children to grow up around..We live in London & feel that it’s time to move on..So looking into options etc.

Husband started off as a plasterer & rendering 15yrs ago then built his company the last 12years..Does marble plastering etc in fancy London venues, extensions & general building.

Can you not move to somewhere in the UK? Moving to a new country is extremely expensive. Have you been to Australia before?

What trade qualifications does he have?

I would agree with Dorothy in that perhaps a move within the UK is more feasible and far less expensive.

Nowhere is truly 100% safe but I suppose that depends on what is meant by safe.

Hi Samantha. For visa information, the official government visa finder tools can be found here https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visa...sa/visa-finder

You'll need to work through all the options, it takes a bit of time but unfortunately that's what migration is all about, research research research! When you think you've found a visa that you and your husband qualify for you can come back and ask any specific questions.

Cambridge is a really nice place and, in the scheme of things, Cheaper than moving to Australia. If his/your skills aren't on the list then you're going to struggle.

Can't help you with visas but if you qualify, get your asses over here - it's an awesome place to live

Good luck
