Default Advice On Phone Land Lines Please

Can anyone tell me, once you have a landline number in Aus can you keep it, even if you move around a few times (just in Queensland). The reason I ask is, as soon as we arrive, we want to get our business up and running again. My husband is a painter and decorator, but because we are not sure what area we like, we want to spend a few months checking things out, so no permantent address as we will be renting. I know we could use a mobile number and we will, but I think it looks a little more professional if there's a landline number as well.

Advice please,

thanks Jane.

Go to here and see question 1. I guess the usual answer applies - it depends

Probably not unless you move within a km or so... unless you get one of those 13 numbers or a 1800 number... use the mobile.... most people prefer to ring them as they know they are more likely to get hold of the person
