Advice Needed - Vets on the Gold Coast
We have a 7 year old Cocker Spaniel who has developed a bit of a cough and is a little short of breath. Hes fine in himself and not off his food at all but its been a few days and its not getting any better. I rang a coupla vets on Friday and they all said for a basic consultation around $100....Compared to the UK this seems a little steep anyone know of any around that are cheaper or do they have something like the PDSA here?
Thanks in advance.

Regarding your dog - be careful as Queensland dogs can be susceptable to lung worm and coughing and breathing probs is a symptom. Don't want to scare you but you need to take your dog to the vets mate as it could be heart probs or the above whatever it is you need to get him seen to and its a small price to pay to make sure he's OK. Good luck mate

Have you tried the AWL at Coombabah? I think their costs are lower than normal vets. http://www.awlqld.com.au/coombabah-vet-clinic.html

I have no idea what the rates are at our vets all I know is I am always surprised because it's so much cheaper then our old uk vets. We go to green cross vets at oxenford but there are green cross vets all over the coast. Good luck.
