Hello all, Just looking to see if anyone can help me out a bit. Looking at heading to Perth Jan 08 at the latest, was heading for North of the river (Ellenbrook area perhaps?) but also quite fancy south of the river (Rockingham ??) My hubby is a ceramic wall and floor tiler and we have 3 kids 8,7 and 3. We are looking for somwhere that has family friendly activities at the weekends (so near to beaches, parks etc) that are cheap and cheerful. We are quite easily pleased and not coming with much money so looking for areas that are reasonably priced. Any thoughts on areas that we could look at?
Also how do people decide where to go? I also like the thought of Brisbane due to the amount of parks etc for the kids..... but Adelaide also sounds nice...... How do folks make these decisions?? I know ultimately only we can decide but others thoughts and opionins (I know thats not spelt right!) would be most appreciated.
Thanks
Michelle

I'm from Brissy so I am biased but for me Sydney is too big (affordable housing too far away); Melbourne is too cold (and looks like Europe); Adelaide is too small and boring and Perth (where I have never been) is too far away from anything. Oh and Hobart is too Tasmanian. Can't really comment on Caberra or Darwin

I dont wish to sound negative but it really is horses for courses i have been to Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne & Adelaide and to be honest each has its own good bad points it is just what works for you.
