Absolutely loved living there and would return were it not for work. Not sure who said it was busy! 15 minutes to get anywhere.....except during the Clipsal race (argh!!). We loved the English feel and the high standard of schooling, that said our three were at a private single sex school. We were based very close to the CBD and could afford an 800sqm block with a 1900 return verandah villa. To replicate same where we are in Perth is laughable.
yes, Adelaide is a little sleepy, but in less than an hour (in the air) you can be in Melbourne. Just over an hour, Sydney; just a bit more and you're in Brisbane. We drove to 'the snow' (what people in Australia call going ski-ing) twice when we lived there. Awesome, loved it, miss it!!
Food fabulous quality, Barossa, McLaren Vale, Clare Valley all nice and accessible.
