We were over there last year and found lots of nice areas.
But it depends a lot on where you live just now and what expectations you have.
We found some areas that we wouldn't have stayed, but compared to some areas in Glasgow, they seemed really good.

Yes, but even the Adelaide rubbish tip or the Adelaide Sewerage farm would seem really good compared to many areas of Glasgow.

Hi Wombat, or maybe on a par with them,
what i actually meant was that over here a lot of people live in tenemants which are a bit cramped and parking is a bit of a nightmare, so when you are in Adelaide even the worst areas seem better,cos most people stay in a detached house which would be a luxury to most people over here..Depends what you are used to.

Glenelg is probably the best suburb, easy access to city, good beach and a bit trendy. Avoid Salisbury!
