We are building in Paradise, due to move in at the end of the month. It's a really nice family area, two main shopping centres, one at each end,it's in the foothills and there are lot's of green areas. There is Thorndon Park Reserve (pics attached)which is just beautiful with large lake, kids playground, nature walk etc and Linear Park runs through the top of the suburb. Also lots of sports grounds, library up the road in Athelstone. All in all a really nice suburb.
There are good transport links to the CBD.the Obahn is a dedicated bus lane which runs right through, otherwise to drive in is around 20/25 mins.

Hi there,
My husband and I are moving to Adelaide next month!!
We are renting at first in the City Centre but will be looking at West Lakes, West Lake Shore, Semaphore, Henley area which is meant to be really nice. Don't know if that helps?

Hi Wendy'
sorry to hijack the thread but you would'nt happen to know the average wage of a painter & decorator per week and if there's plenty of work still out there in adelaide.
Kind Regards
Mark.

I don't mate, I've not really been looking for a while

Take a look on www.workplace.gov.au there is info on there about state awards, expected rates of pay, conditions etc.
