Default 4 year contract in Sydney

Hello
I don't really know where to start as this has come out of the blue & I have a million questions. Me & my wife are moving to Sydney in April & have two young children under 3. Work is just around the corner from Hyde Park & our rental budget is $700 to $950. Any suggestions of areas to live ?
My friends live in Mosman & Balgowlah but been advised the commute is not great from them areas. Any suggestion or feed back would be very helpful from people on the ground.
This is the first of many questions.

Chase

Everybody says commuting is hard once the harbour bridge comes into it i think and definitely if you mention one of the northern beaches. I have seen people say that they heard it is hard to commute from Manly even.

Looks like a very easy commute to me, take one of the gazillion buses to /from Mosman and walk a bit.

Your problem might be budget though, unless you want to live in an apartment, you have little chance of finding something in your bottom end of the budget in Mosman, even top end should be a squeeze for a house. This is an expensive area. Balgowlah should be a bit cheaper.

Hyde Park is only 15 minutes walk from Circular Key, so look at options with a ferry commute.

have a look around five dock you might find something in your price range there but it's liable to be an apartment
