4 Day Round Trip (OZ>UK>OZ)
Crazy as it sounds, thinking of heading back to the UK for a football match then flying back the day after.
Flying BNE>DXB>MAN>DXB>BNE
Dep BNE Thurs early morning; Arr MAN Thurs evening
Dep MAN Sun afternoon; Arr BNE Tues early morning
Total flying time approx 47 hours with Emirates (versus 54 hours with Etihad - albeit $226 more expensive)
Anybody done anything like this (not just for football)? If so, how did you find it? Did you enjoy the excitement of it all or were you too tired to take it all in.
Cheers
Flying BNE>DXB>MAN>DXB>BNE

Two mates have done it over the last few years.
First a Rangers fan saw them lose the final in Manchester plus there was a riot. The other a Bradford fan, went and watched them lose (what was, it 5 nil?)

Re: 4 Day Round Trip (OZ>UK>OZ)
Hi,
I know I just couldn't do it.
In fact I've just booked flights that give me 'complimentary' hotel/transfers in Dubai each way (in June/July for a three week 'holiday') so that I can at least try to help with the awful jet lag I always suffer each way.
I suppose it depends on how young you are, how well you travel, and your need to support your team. My opinion is also coloured by the fact that in my early years here I went back and travelled all over UK by flights/rail to visit family and friends and had a DVT scare when I got back to Australia.

I suspect a Millwall fan if they reach the FA cup final.
