Cool 350 cu ft

hi all,

just a quick question i am wanting a shared 20 foot container and i was wondering how many cubic feet there is in this type of cantainer for it to be shared is it 350 cu ft.

i was quoted for a full 20 container for £3696.00 this is to rich for my blood i need a shared 1.

iwas also wondering how much do they charge at customs for export or is it all in the full price.
you see is there anything extra you have to pay that is not in your quote.

why not phone e.g Crown to find out how big is a 20' container, and what is the minimum shipment?

AFAIK there is no minimum shipment, and most qoutes are customs cleared.

extras are the usual cleaning/disposal.

350 cu ft is about 1/3rd of a general freight 20footer, {1100cu ft /35 cumtrs ].
The fee,s in Australia will depend on How up front you are with your shipment, they less time AQIS have to spend checking your gear, the less you will pay they charge around $180 an hr................. mm

Hi John

Just watch the price of the shared container as the price per cubic foot will increase, due to more handling and stuff associated with a shared container. We got our shipping company to re-quote and knocked off the original list, sofa's, dining table + chairs, large gas BBQ tv cabinet and hi fi cabinet and the price was exactly the same as a sole use container!
We have paid £3,125 (paid today) for a 20ft sole use container and everything is going in.

Neil.
