Has anybody taken a three phone over and used the above service.
It looks great - from the web site -
"An extra bit of good news if you’re going to Austria, Australia, Denmark, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy or Sweden. With sister networks in all these places, you’ll automatically connect to our 3 Like Home service. What’s that? While you’re away, it lets you use your inclusive UK minutes and messages to call or text standard UK numbers. Even check your scores on Planet 3. Just like at home. "
I pay 5 quid a month for 500 mins and 100 texts - which I should be able to use to the uk from Oz !!!
is this too good to be true?

I've just bought one of those Skype phones from 3 to do the same thing when we go over this year, hopefully to validate our visa, and also to check out Skype for calling home with. I have a mate who now lives in Perth who has the same phone and I chat to him over Skype a fair bit
without trouble

We are on 3 here in Oz and as my husband still has a business in the UK also has a UK 3 phone. We find the 3 like home great. It does not cost him to receive calls on his UK mobile whilst here, which saves him a fortune, and also he can use his inclusive minutes. When he goes to the UK I can still use my free minutes to ring him and once again it does not cost him to receive the call. You just need to be careful to ensure you are on the 3 network, as depending where you go it can be a bit patchy.
Can you use the inclusive minutes on a 3UK phone in australia to call australian numbers - or would that be deemed an international call?

My husband has never tried it but was told you could, maybe you could try one out and see what happens whent the bill comes.
