244 dogs rescued from house
BRITISH animal welfare officers said today they had rescued 244 dogs, 16 parrots, seven cats, a rabbit and a chinchilla, or small rodent, from a single house.
The animals were crammed into all parts of the three-bedroom home, including the loft and basement, owned by a middle-aged couple in Carnforth in Lancashire, northwest England.
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) charity said: "This is the largest seizure of animals in our history. It is huge."
The couple have been interviewed by RSPCA inspectors.
All the animals found have been taken to animal centres across Britain following the seizure on September 10.

Do you think they will be emigrating to OZ. They could have even more animals in the mansion they could afford. 200 Roos, Koalas and a few cats and dogs for fun.
