Expat working in Africa, Travel Insurance
Hi All,
By definition I am non residnet of the UK any more. For the last 2 years I have been working in Africa maintaining my upto 90 days only per year in the UK and in the eyes of HMRC i am a non resident. However I do still own property in the UK, have a permanent address and always travel to the UK for periods of my leave.
However my question is I am just about to renew my travel insurance (for holidays) and it states I need to be a UK resident which I guess to them I no longer am. Therefore where can I buy non resident travel insurance. In the next 12 months I will travel to USA, thailand etc on holiday. Or does anyone think I will be ok just with my standard policy?.
