You have no idea. It's actually fun - working long hours means its quality time with them. Unfortunately, Joburg traffic is such that I may have inadvertently taught them some deeply inappropriate language whilst negotiating taxi drivers and traffic cops.

No. The first words I learnt in Afrikaans were picked up in the car on the way from the airport when I first arrived. They were all swear words, and mostly directed at me for driving at less than 140kph on a side road.. Nothing changes.
