Default Experience pre/post qualifying - Oz

Does anybody know whether work experience (senior level in practice) prior to qualifying as ACCA counts for Oz visa skilled migration visa.

Work experience is as MAAT. I am thinking of the skills assement requirement (12 of 18 months), the work experience points (3 of 4 years) and the SIR visa requirement (12 of 18 months in nominated /closely related occupation).

The work I do is what a practicing ACCA would do (own clients and sub contracting for larger accountants) - except I am in the process of finishing ACCA exams.

Any input very much appreciated.

Thank you.
