Re: UK Foods in the US Share your finds!
I'm based in Irvine, CA and I have only found a couple of places that have "some" UK brands....my kids like Weetabix and I got a 12 piece box for $10...talk about fleecing customers!
Does anyone know of any other place around Irvine that may supply UK foods (not at extortionate prices??!).

Areas that attract Brits do tend to have a decent selection of Brit goodies. One of the main ones would be Florida.

Although I haven't been into it in several years, there is one single store of the local Kroger franchise, that stocks (stocked?) British groceries. I am about to mount an expedition because my jar of Marmite is empty.

It turns out that it tastes about the same, but still cost me almost $10 for a ½lb jar.

Kroger on 14th St in Plano has some good items, not a huge amount though... They have things like Bird's Custard, Yorkie Bars, Hobnobs, Branston Pickle, Digestives, Aero, Bounty, Maltesers, Bisto, HP Brown and Fruit sauces, Colmans Shephards Pie mix, etc...

That's just about the same stuff I saw in the local Kroger franchise down here. It sounds like they get "goodie packages from home" too!

I'm fairly certain it is the availability of these things along with tons of English footie on the telly and lots of other English telly stuff available with minimal computer know-how, that has subconsciously helped me decide to apply for US citizenship.
Basically East TN has become sufficiently British for me to stay here.
Oh yeah, and my son tells me that a couple of Germans are in the midst of opening up an 'authentic' doner kebab shop nearby. Heaven.

Those in the Metrowest area of MA and want to put themselves through hell of Rt 9...the slightly dodgy Indian grocery/take out place on Rt9 and 30, opposite Framingham State exit.
Best place to get curry stuff...they have huge bags of all kinds of Bombay mix style snacks for a couple bucks, loads of samosa's for a couple bucks up to about $8 for a huge bag.
Good selection of Brit tea bags, slightly better than grocery shop prices, not as good as Ocean State. Has a bunch of chocs, about the same money as Wegmans.
If you're into household goods, they have Detol, TCP and a few other things for cheap. Birds custard and other packets of things were cheap too.
Definitely the place to go get spices, popadums and chutneys....though they also have Pataks jars, but they weren't the best prices, better than Hannafords, not as good as Wegmans or Ocean State.
Pain in the arse of a place to get to though, unless you're dropping little kids off at the kids gym thingy on the corner.
