Combined with increased supply from shale deposits and the tar sands of Canada, increased fuel efficiency of cars in the US and around the world reducing demand, and the rise in the value of the dollar which means producers will accept fewer of them for their oil. All in all a perfect storm for the price of oil.

We've got one like that, still at $3.19, and now 34ยข more than any other station in the area. I guess the owner can't get his head around selling gas, that he bought several weeks ago, for barely more than he paid for it, or even at a loss. Only an idiot would buy gas from there at the moment though.

There was one farther down the same road on Tuesday that had it at $3.43. That's 87 octane as well, not even premium

Me too! . ...... The local BP that I was using for most of the summer is now the cheapest of any of the BPs again, the ones that I pass at least once a week. That said I am likely to pass the one in the next town over the weekend and I'll be checking gasbuddy.com before I fill up locally.
